«B5+1»

JIA Business Association represented by its Executive Director took part in the first Forum "B5+1" (Business 5+1), which was held on March 14-15 in Almaty.

The Forum hosted a productive discussion between representatives of businesses, governments, expert community, investors from all five Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan) and the United States.

The economic opportunities of the dynamically developing region of Central Asia were discussed at the Forum. Attention was drawn to creating a favorable environment for attracting new investors, and priority policy measures were identified, the adoption of which can help increase foreign investment and provide access to regional and international markets for businesses in the region.

"Throughout the two days, we had productive discussions and offered recommendations to improve the business environment and attract investment to the region. The B5+1 Forum aims not only to help position Central Asia as an attractive economic destination, but also to harmonize legislation in key sectors such as transport, energy, tourism and trade." - JIA Executive Director.
